Currently, drivers with learners permits in Texas are forbidden from using their cell phones in the first six months of driving and school bus drivers in Texas aren’t allowed to use their phones while children are present. As of September 1, Drivers under age 17 with restricted licenses won’t be allowed to use their phones while driving and it will be illegal for any driver to use their phone while in a school crossing zone.
