Oregon currently has laws in place banning cell phone use by those under 18 with intermediate licenses, and has passed legislation which will ban all cell phone use without hands-free devices effective January 1, 2010. Using a cell phone without hands-free technology counts as a primary offense and drivers can be pulled over if seen.
THE PENDING LEGISLATION (EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1)
