Louisiana is another state which has banned texting while driving entirely. Furthermore, drivers under 18 cannot use wireless devices while behind the wheel and those with learner and intermediate licenses aren’t allowed to use cell phones unless they are using a hands-free device. However, there are no plans to enact further legislation after a bill was dropped this past session.
