Indiana

In Indiana, the only cell phone regulation is for those under 18, who aren’t allowed to text or make calls using their phones while driving, and several areas have legislation which puts limit on phone use, such as the city of South Bend banning use in school zones and Monroe County banning email and text messaging while behind the wheel.

House Bill 1242 is seeking to stop drivers from using hand-held cell phones, and instead to restrict them to hands-free cell phone setups.
